Song obsessions

I find that occasionally I develop an obsession with a particular song. I’m not sure what it is that appeals about these songs, but I can listen to them over and over. Of course, last.fm gets narky with me for it! =D I really don’t do it often, but sometimes I just get fixated.
I do hope I'm not the only person who does this... *looks shifty*

You are not alone.
I go through stages of obsessions, where whichever is my current top obsession either gets a playlist made, or the old playlist gets repeated copiously.
Or if they are a really big obsession, they get a fanmix. :D

Good to know! =D I go through stages of obsessions as well - I have periods where I don't listen to some songs, but then I go back to them with a vengeance! I'm still listening to that Ober playlist! =D Hence Kryptonite... *looks shifty* Oh, and I left Happy Ending off my list! *cries* I love Happy Ending!

I've also added a few songs to my Ober playlist, including Heart's a Mess by Gotye. Have you heard that song? It's so perfect for Elf's state in Ober. =) I also bought a song from iTunes for my Ober playlist - Wherever You Will Go, by The Calling. It's Rushton's song for Elf at the end of TSK, and for The Sending. I've decided I love The Calling. =D

I only found out about it because I really like Things Don't Always Turn Out That Way, so I looked up The Calling on last.fm, and it was by far their most popular song, so I listened to it on Youtube. =D

I get fixated on songs because of the lyrics as well, or sometimes because of the awesome music. Hence Farewell and Nothing Else Matters! =D

I just realised I left off Path! It's my favourite Apocalyptica song! And it is indeed interesting that we have a few obsessive-songs in common. =D

I'm considering a playlist as well - a somewhat flexible one, so that I can change it whenever I feel like it! =D It beats fiddling with iTunes all the time. Of course, I'm intentionally ignoring the part where I'd have to actually spend heaps of time creating and changing the playlist! =D
